Hydraulic transmission of power.-In apparatus for transmitting power hydraulically of the pump and turbine type, the pump A and turbine B are provided with rows of vanes 3, 4 and 5, 6 respectively 'and with stationary channels 7, 8 preferably provided with guide vanes. The direction of flow through the turbine is controlled by means of channelled, relatively adjustable ring members 9, 10.
