Abstract

A seat frame assembly for an aircraft seat, etc., consists of a laterally extending spar (1) supported on leg assemblies (2), longitudinally extending frame members (3 and 4) are mounted on the spar (1) by sockets members (25 and 24), allowing rotational and longitudinal variation of the assembly positions. Seat pad supports (5) are resiliently directly suspended (6, 7) from the frame members (3 and 4). The frame members (3) carry rigid arm rest frames (33, 34, 37). Frame members (3, 4) also provide pivot points (32, 43) for pivoted seat backs and anchorage locations for seat belts. <IMAGE>
