Abstract

The particles are continuously fed to be cold compressed in a passage 2 by repeated strokes of a punch 20, to form pellets which are sequentially advanced by the punch stakes, against the frictional resistance of the previously formed pellets, through a long sintering unit 6 leading to an extrusion nozzle 23, 24, 25. The apparatus is cooled and heated at 3, and 21. The particles may comprise specified materials which may be plastics, inorganic, metal oxides to form oxide-ceramics, or spinels, or metal-ceramics, and the particles may be coated with a protective steel jacketing. <IMAGE>
