Abstract

A contact element, for insertion into an elongate bus duct (28) for sliding movement therealong, is provided with spring contacts (22) including contact blades (26) which are arranged to slidably contact bare conductors (31) at the bottom of the duct. The element comprises a plastics carrier formed as a box-like portion (1) with a cover (17) and provided with chambers accommodating off-set portions of the contacts (22). The blades (26) project outwardly through slots (21) in the cover. Lateral walls (3) of the housing are, at both extremities, free of the housing, and are resiliently connected to the remainder of the housing, forming resilient lips (4) provided with lugs (13). <IMAGE>
