Abstract

In an impact pulverizer or breaker (1) for comminuting rock has an inlet (17) at the top, an outlet (16) at the bottom, a rotor (4) between its two side walls (1) and at least one impact unit constructed from impact members (10), each unit having its own support (11), the two side walls (1) of the housing being rigidly interconnected in the corner zones by cross-members (2) to form a load-bearing frame which has installation openings for the rotor (4) between the cross- members (2), said openings being closable by separately fitted wall parts (7, 8, 9), bearing the interchangeable impact units (10). <IMAGE>
