Abstract

In a coupling device primarily intended for connecting the neck (1) of a liquefied gas bottle to a gas consuming apparatus and comprising an eccentric shaft (5) that may be rotated by means of an external knob or handle (14) for the operation of a locking member (7) to releasably engage a circumferential groove (2) in the bottle neck (1) and a tappet (9) operative to control a check valve in the bottle neck, said tappet (9) forms itself an extra valve, and said handle (14) incorporating a manually operated safety pin (15) normally preventing rotation of the eccentric shaft (5) from a position in which the tappet valve is closed and the locking member (7) engaged, to a position in which the locking member is released. <IMAGE>
