Abstract

A method of controlling a dynamic random access video signal store. The store is a matrix store subdivided into a plurality of sub-areas 1'to 1'''', which are read out column by column in cyclic sequence. Each column contains video information of a single line period of a stored video signal. By the adoption of this method it is possible to avoid the use of special cycles for sweeping through particular address sequences for effecting replenishment of information contained in the storage cells of the dynamic store. <IMAGE>
