Bulkheads.-Ships bulkheads comprising plates with semicylindrical depressions alternating with flat portions are constructed from plates none of which comprise more than a single cylindrical curve. For example, the flat plates a, Fig. 1, are connected to the semi-cylindrical plate b by angles e. In a modification, the corrugations do not extend the entire width or depth of the bulkhead, the curved plates b set in the plates a being closed at the top and bottom by flat plates b'. The bulkhead is connected to the framing of the ship by brackets fitted on one or both sides of the bulkhead.
