Abstract

In order to enable its use for storing e.g. wine bottles at one temperature and food at another temperature, a lower compartment 11 of a refrigerator is separated from an upper, main storage space 10 by an insulating partition 12 having a number of apertures 13 therethrough. The airflow through the apertures is controlled by a flap which selectively opens and closes the apertures depending on whether the lower or the higher temperature for the compartment 11 is required. <IMAGE>
