Abstract

A device is provided for adjusting the inclination between a first member, such as a plate 11 attached to a seat back, and a second member, such as a plate 10 attached to a seat. The first and second members are pivotally connected to each other at 14. There is provided a support 22 in which is rotatably mounted a sleeve 21 having internal screw-threads. At least one screw-threaded shank 20 is screwed into the sleeve 21 to form an adjustable length member, the ends of which are pivoted to the plates 10, 11 at pins 16, 19, respectively (as shown two shanks 17,20 are used). A rotatable control knob 28 rotates the sleeve 21 via a drive 26, 27 for adjusting the inclination between the plates 10, 11 and hence between a seat B and a seat back A when connected thereto. <IMAGE>
