Abstract

A rectangular picture frame with square mitred corners comprises four side members (1) of extruded section precut to length with mitred ends (2). At each corner the members (1) are held together by an interconnecting and rigidifying corner bracket (3) which is a push fit into receiving channels (4) provided by spaced parallel ribs (10) at the rear of the members (1). Each leg of the bracket 3 is of V-section and resiliently grips the sides of its channel 4. The extruded section has two parallel channels, namely a front channel which receives the picture and a front transparent sheet of glass or plastics, and a rear channel which receives a backing sheet of hardboard or some such material. The frame is assembled around the front and backing sheets and the picture, and can be taken apart and reassembled to change the picture. <IMAGE>
