Abstract
To minimize power consumption a complementary MOS integrated circuit for a timepiece comprises two kinds of complementary MOS transistors, one of which has a lower threshold voltage and the other has a higher threshold voltage. The complementary MOS transistors having a lower threshold voltage are used in the high frequency operated zone (10) (Fig. 2) of the circuit including oscillator circuit 1 and stages 6 of a frequency divider and are operated by a voltage (VssL) lower than the voltage supply (5) of the circuit and derived by a voltage converter 9. The transistors with the higher threshold voltage are used in the lower frequency Stages 8 of the divider. A level adjusting circuit 7 matches the voltage levels. <IMAGE>
