Abstract

A non-revolving turning head for attachment to the longitudinal carriage 2 of a lathe, has cutting tools 23 mounted in a housing 13 and simultaneously radially adjustable relative to a workpiece by a cam 15 pivotable about the axis of rotation in the housing. The cam 15, e.g. disc, is operably associated in movement through a mechanical linkage 10 with the copying slide 6 of a copying lathe or with the cross slide of a lathe with numerical path control. The linkage 10 is a thrust bar coupled to bearing plates 9,11 on the copying slide 6 and on the cam 15. The cam 15 has eccentrically arcuate grooves 16 to produce the radial tool movement. <IMAGE>
