Abstract

A valve for controlling discharge of liquid material from a tank or reservoir comprises a duct (1) which is connected at one end of the tank (20). At the other end of the duct there is an aperture (6) bounded by a resilient seal (7). A closure flap (8) is connected to the aperture so as to be movable into and out of engagement with the seal (7), and tightening means, such as a screw device (10, 11, 12), is provided for tightening the flap (8) against the seal (7). <IMAGE>
