Abstract

The tread surface of a metal scaffolding plank includes holes 5 with their edges 5' upset to facilitate grip and further holes 6 with their edges 6' pressed down to facilitate drainage. The holes are arranged in staggered rows with all holes in alternate rows being upset, the holes in the other rows being alternately upset and pressed down. The plank edge flanges 2 are reinforced by plates 3 and stiffening tubes 7'. The base of the flanges 2 may be thickened and have steel reinforcement welded thereto. <IMAGE>
