775,189. Scaffold planks. TOWNSON & SONS, Ltd., W. July 11, 1955 [July 10, 1954], No. 20245/54. Class 20(2) A scaffolding plank is formed from mild steel sheet rolled into a plurality of rectangular longitudinal corrugations B with vertical outer side portions b inturned at their lower edge b<SP>1</SP> to form flanges, timber or other non-slip inserts C being inserted into the slots between adjacent corrugations on the face of the plank to provide a non-slip tread. The portions b<SP>2</SP> and the inserts C may be treated with bitumastic solution a<SP>3</SP> mixed with carborundum to provide a non-slip surface.
