Abstract

In a reversible motor-operated wiper mechanism including a gearwheel 10 through which drive is imparted to a wiper from the reversible motor, a device is provided for operating a limit switch 13 at a parked position of the wiper, and comprises an annulus 16 having a cam form 17 disposed under the gear wheel 10 and rotatable relative thereto when engaged by the edge of an arcuate plate 23 riveted to the underside of the gearwheel 10 and having a downwardly projecting plate portion 24. During forward rotation of the gearwheel 10, an abutment surface 25 of the plate portion 24 engages and drives the annulus 16 and cam form 17 while a spring 22 urges the cam form 17 upwardly so that a plunger 14 of the limit switch 13 does not lie in the path of movement of the cam form 17. In the reverse direction of rotation of the gearwheel, a ramp surface 26 on the plate portion 24 urges the cam form 17 downwardly so that the limit switch 13 is operated. <IMAGE>
