Abstract

A lamp changing device can be fitted to a projector as a structural unit, by means of which, in the event of failure of a first lamp (L1) which is on the projector side and is located in the operating position, a second lamp (L2) which is on the projector side and is located in the readiness position, can be displaced automatically into its operating position. The lamp changing device which can be attached has a rocker arm (5), which is driven by a motor (3), and a slide (6) which is connected thereto. An actuating lever (7a) of the lamp carrier (7) on the projector side can be connected to a spring (14), which acts against the displacement direction of the actuating lever (7a), of the lamp changing device which can be fitted. The rocker arm (5) carries out a forwards and backwards movement together with the slide (6), the slide (6) and the actuating lever (7a) being coupled during the forwards movement until the actuating lever (7a) is locked to a latching plate (8), which is arranged parallel to the slide (6), in a position in which the second lamp (L2) of the projector is in the operating position. <IMAGE>
