Abstract

A roller conveyor 1 comprises parallel rollers 3 circulating from the feeding end to the delivery end, particularly for elevating fruit such as apples, pears, tomatoes and the like, the rollers 3 having alternating portions of smaller and larger diameters and at the delivery end fingers 8 transverse of the axes of the rollers 3 extending as far as between the portions of larger diameters, whereby fruit conveyed by the rollers 3 can pass onto a conveyor belt 6 without dropping from a height. The fingers 8 are preferably pivotable about a fulcrum remote from the ends of the fingers adjacent the rollers 3, and may be lifted by actuating arms 9 interconnected at their ends by a tie beam 13. <IMAGE>
