Abstract

Carbon resistor consisting of an electrically insulating substrate bearing a resistive film comprising carbon, an electrically insulating filler which is carbon fluoride (CF)n, and a polymeric binder. The resistive material is formed by mixing superiors of carbon and (CF)n in binder solution. A potentiometer is provided having a resistive track 1 which is wear-resistant and may be non-linear, e.g. logarithmic. <IMAGE>
