Abstract

A plurality of elastic elements (11) extend radially inwards from an outer driven coupling part, and intermediate pieces (12), are located one between each adjacent pair of elastic elements (11), to form chambers for damping liquid between the elastic elements and the intermediate pieces. The tapered elastic elements have their radially inner ends fitting in axially extending grooves (16) in the periphery of a driving coupling part (20) and the chambers (13, 14) are bounded at their ends by closure walls and, in operation of the coupling, the damping liquid can be displaced through gaps between the elastic elements and one of the closure walls from the chamber (13) to the chamber (14). The elastic elements (11). the intermediate pieces (12) and an outer ring (10), comprise a one-piece member, with minimum rotary mass, or may consist of a laminated set of one-piece members fixed together face to face. <IMAGE>
