Abstract
In a motor vehicle having an independent front suspension roll control system comprising two torsion bars 18, each one of which is connected at one end to a front wheel suspension assembly 10, 12 of the vehicle and is pivotally connected at the other end to the frame of the vehicle wherein the two torsion bars are linked together by means of a tie-rod 24 pivotally connected to a free end 22 of a control arm 20 extending from each of said torsion bars, the tie rod is movable relative to the vehicle frame between two adjustable limit stops 28 mounted on the vehicle frame and movable towards or away from one another by means of a control mechanism. Adjustable biasing means 30 located between said limit stops and said tie rod control in conjunction with the limit stops the permissible amount of relative movement between the tie rod and the vehicle frame to enable the vehicle to exhibit suitable suspension characteristics for both on-road and off-road use. <IMAGE>
