Abstract

A transfer sheet which is suitable for use in transferring design(s) on to the surface of an article made of polyamide resin produces transferred designs on the polyamide articles which are excellent in appearance, durability and adhesiveness to the polyamide surfaces. The transfer sheet is basically composed of a backing material, a design layer and an adhesive layer and the invention is characterized in that the adhesive layer contains a varnish which comprises: (A) nitrocellulose and (B) one or more plasticizers, preferably one member or a mixture of more members selected from phthalic ester plasticizers, fatty acid ester plasticizers, phosphoric ester plasticizers, epoxy plasticizers, alkyd resins and maleic acid resins.
