Abstract

A plate conveyor belt is disclosed especially for the conveying of personnel along a path in which an inclined plane is connected with another plane through a convex curve. To increase the safety of the users, especially through making possible an arrangement of balustrades above the plate conveyor belt with little play, each plate (1) has a geometrically convex load-carrying surface (1.2) which curves in the direction of belt travel and symmetrically to its central axis. The load-carrying surface follows a circularly arcuate curve, the radius (R1) of which is greater than the radius (R) of the curve traversed by the conveyor belt. <IMAGE>
