Abstract

A water closet has a seat (3), a bowl (2) and a conduit (7) for flushing water, a washing apparatus (9) and associated conduit (10) for washing the private parts of a person using the closet and a drying conduit (11) for introducing warm air into the bowl to dry the private parts of the user. The washing apparatus comprises a perforated tube 9 connected to the lower edge of the flange 4 and the drying conduit directs warm air around the annular chamber 5 formed underneath the rim of the bowl. <IMAGE>
