Abstract

The folding lavatory and wash basin are housed within the room partition wall and ordinarily lie flat against the wall. A flushing handle (16) provides water to the lavatory bowl and to the wash basin mounted above. The lavatory bowl is supported on a folding foot (20) and a bar linkage (5) connects the bowl to the wash basin so that both fold down in unison. Both appliances are aesthetically decorated on their undersides. A hot air hand dryer (21) is mounted on the adjacent wall and the whole system is intended for use in trains and planes.
