Abstract

An unmanned floatable apparatus has a three port passageway whereby oil pollution is passed. The ports of the passageway 20a, 20b, 20c, are disposed with magnetic means to form magnetic part couplings to 'dock' or be coupled with, similar part couplings of oil barriers or booms. The apparatus is equipped and operated by means of remote control by a radio 'link' for example, to manoeuvre, coupled with said devices, to surround an oil spillage and may be looked upon as a remotely controlled floatable T junction. The pod housing 15, which houses the shaft and propeller 14, is capable of turning 360 DEG . <IMAGE>
