Abstract

A brush for finishing leather, skins and like materials in sheet form is disclosed, which is composed by an elongate inflatable air bag 5 on which a material 6 such as velvet or fabric is removably fastened so as to be interchangeable. The brush is for being mounted on a finishing machine which spreads by means of such brush a layer of varnish, lacquer or any other processing liquor on the skins or like materials to be finished. The adjustable resiliency, which is due not only to the intrinsic elasticity of the material the bag is made of (e.g. rubber), but also to the pressure of inflation in its interior, automatically balances any thickness unevenness on the surface of the material being treated. <IMAGE>
