Abstract

A cleaning implement is disclosed, to which a cleaning cloth having reception pockets at its ends may be attached. The implement comprises a generally rectangular base (1) which is defined by bars (4) and to which is secured a central plate (7). To this plate (7) is pivotally mounted a hinge (6) which is adapted to receive a handle for the implement. The base (1) is partially foldable about a transverse axis through its central region, but is lockable by a latch mechanism (13, 14) in its working position in which the base (1) is contained in a single plane. The transverse sides of the implement carry roller(s) (5a, 5b) which aid the slipping-on of cleaning cloths. <IMAGE>
