Abstract

A leakage detector for connection in a pipeline system, the detector having a main flow path 6, 17, 23, 22, 18, 7 with a non-return valve therein and a secondary flow path 6, 8, 7 having electrically heated and monitored thermal flow detectors therein and connected across the main flow path. The non- return valve opens when there is a predetermined differential pressure across the valve and the thermal flow detector measures any leakage flow in the secondary duct when the non-return valve is closed. <IMAGE>
