Abstract

Liquid formulations of solutions of basic dyestuff salts in an aqueous solvent medium comprise water, an aliphatic carboxylic acid of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid of from 2 to 7 carbon atoms and optionally other constituents. The solutions are useful in the dyeing of textile fibres and fabrics, particularly acrylonitrile polymers, and in the dyeing of paper.
