Abstract

A suspendable climbing platform has a number of decks (3) which project from a parallelogram-linkage framework to contact a wall to which access is required. The angle of the parallelogram linkage can be altered as the angle of the wall alters so that the decks are always parallel and horizontal. Since the decks project from the framework, the framework is kept at a distance away from the wall, and there is no vertical obstruction on the wall. A clear working space is thus left. The parallelogram linkage can be fixed in any desired position, so that the decks are stable. <IMAGE>
