Abstract

The invention relates to a method of producing insoles for shoes of the veldschoen type having outflanged margins of the upper in at least the heel end region. The insole produced has a transverse slit forming two initially separable laminae 6, 8 at least in the heel end region and an insitu moulded insert of plastics material formed between said laminae to shape and reinforce the same, marginal portions 10 of the laminae in said region remaining in contact with one another, so as to be capable of receiving stitches or like fastening means. <IMAGE>
