Abstract
A series-parallel coupled circuit (Fig 1) for use for example with an electric fence, includes a parallel inductance (L1), a smaller series inductance (L2), a parallel capacitance (C1), a series capacitance (C2) and the circuit resistance. The circuit also includes a switching device (S) by which the parallel capacitance charged (by means not shown) to an operating voltage (U1)1 is switched by way of the parallel inductance so that the series capacitance is charged to an oscillation build-up voltage (U2) higher than the operating voltage (U1). The switching device is opened when the series capacitance is charged substantially to the upper peak value of the voltage (U2). <IMAGE>
