Abstract

In the manufacture of sintered products, such as cement clinker, in which the material is continuously fed to a shaft-like furnace 1 and is withdrawn discontinuously therefrom and delivered to the sections of a sectional cooler apparatus 5 disposed in series with the furnace, the flow to the sections of the coolers being controlled by a rotatable plate 8 or flaps. <IMAGE>
