Abstract
200,045. Hess, E. B., and Royal Typewriter Co., Inc. March 29, 1922. Type-lever machines.-Framework, suitable for the portable machine described in Specification 199,811, comprises a plate H provided with a comb h<5> for the key-levers E, and formed with front and rear slotted parts h<11>, h<4> for guiding the action-levers G, the pivot g<1> of the actionlevers being arranged between the parts h<11>, h<4>. The plate may be connected by side bars J to a rear comb J<1> for the key-levers, the pivot e of the key-levers being supported by the comb. The members H, J, J<1> form a frame on which the key-levers and action-levers can be assembled before the frame is inserted in the machine. The plate has wings h<2> secured to arms j<1> on the bars J, the pivot g<1> being supported at the ends by the arms, and at the middle by an ear on the plate. The pivot n is supported by arms j<2> on the bars J and recessed wings j<5> on the comb J<1>.
