Abstract

200,020. Nieuwenburg, C. J. van. Nov. 1, 1922. Production of metal.-In the manufacture of thermo-resistant glass, lithium-alumino-silicate, preferably as lepidolite, is added to the ordinary materials, with the addition of a substance such as zinc oxide or boric acid compounds which promotes the melting process. The glass produced has an increased tensile strength with a resultant increased coefficient of thermal endurance.
