Clips, pivoted-jaw. - Relates to clips of the kind comprising two spring-pressed gripping- plates 1, 1<a> hinged together, and consists in reducing friction by providing a hinge formed of balls or rollers 8 housed within recesses 7, 7<a> in narrow projecting parts 3, 3<a> of the gripping- plates. In the form shown, a ball-bearing 8 is provided at each end of the gripping-plates and a tubular spring 6 surrounds the hinge. In a modification in which a spring of larger diameter is employed, the manipulating arms 4, 4<a> pass through apertures in the spring.
