Abstract

199,332. Bader, T. April 21, 1922. Metal pots.-Melting pots, the contents of which are to be kept at predetermined temperatures, for type-casting and other purposes, are provided with readily detachable auxiliary heating-appliances arranged internally or externally, or both, and fed by auxiliary heating means. A gas-heated melting pot 1 is provided with auxiliary electric heaters 7 suspended from the cover 2. The spout is heated by an auxiliary member 15 arranged in a recess below the cover, the heaters 7, 15 being connected to terminals 12.. In a modification the electric heaters are inserted in pockets adjacent to the spout and in the pot respectively. Specification 197,513, [Class 64 (ii), Heating systems &c.], is referred to.
