Abstract

199,284. Pedersen, J. T. Aug. 9, 1922. Systems controlling travel for a fixed distance. -An electric motor is started by turning a disc partly round, and is stopped by causing the motor, when it has run a determined distance, to carry the disc round through the remainder of a revolution. A movable spring contact 51 engages a notch 48 in a pegged disc 45, which when turned by a separate button 59 displaces the spring to the dotted line position so as to turn on current to the motor. A train of reduction gearing from the motor shaft 24 turns the disc slowly forward until the spring re-enters the notch and turns off the current. The motor may drive a pump in conjunction with a coffee making apparatus.
