Abstract

198,949. Brown, S. Sept. 9, 1922. Cricket bats; hockey sticks. -The splice opening of the blade of a cricket bat, hockey stick or the like is formed with an irregular grain surface. The handle is integral and is secured within the splice by a glue or like joint. Holes are bored in the blade A to receive wooden plugs C, and the splice sawn out in such a manner that part of each plug is cut away. The handle E is then affixed.
