Abstract
197,687. Arnecke, A. May 11, 1922, [Convention date]. Manure, seed, and like distributors.-Artificial fertilizers, seeds, &c. are discharged from the container of a distributing-machine by two or more series of bars alternating with one another and covering the bottom of the container, the fertilizer &c. falling through interstices between the bars and being propelled over a discharge edge. The sets of bars t are connected to cross-bars and are reciprocated longitudinally relatively to one another by means of eccentrics c and adjustably connected rods and links e, f, g. They are arranged at a distance above the bottom b of the container, and projections on them extend through guides z which are adjustable vertically. An adjustable slide i closes the opening in the container a above the bars. The middle parts of the bars are reduced in width and provided on the underside or on all sides with projections or teeth for disintegrating the fertilizer and conveying it over the edge of an adjustable slide k. The box a and distributing apparatus may be divided in width and each part operated separately. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes perforated bars for discharging seeds. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
