Abstract

197,156. Judelson, J. April 1, 1922. Air, controlling circulation of.-The material to be dried is supported upon trays in an airjacketed chamber 17 to the interior of which air, which has been heated by its passage over steampipes 16, 20, is supplied by a fan 14. The air is drawn over the trays by a fan 24 which directs the moisture-laden portion through a louvred triangular-shaped vent 29 to a damper-controlled outlet shaft 27, the drier portion of the air being forced through return flues 22 to the space 18 where it meets with the incoming hot air and passes over the pipes 20 and through the chamber for a second time.
