Two or more non-resilient tappets g. h carried by a twelve-hour wheel e and adjustable over a ring of ratchet-teeth, move. the latch out of engagement at set times, the first half-turn of the escapement closing the switch and the second opening it. The escapement is reset by a handle a<2>. In a modification, the tappets are carried on a 24-hour wheel and the latch is released twice in each revolution for several successive revolutions without resetting. The clock and tappet mechanism is contained in the front portion of a hinged case, the switch being contained in the back portion.
