Abstract

196,292. May, F. April 12, 1922, [Convention date]. Addition to 187,574. Roller copying-presses.-The copying-machine described in the parent Specification is provided with means thereby any of the copying-rollers situated round the central roller can be moved out of contact therewith to reduce the number of copies produced, two copying-rollers 3, 2. being shown having a similar number of guides 4a, 5. To allow the production of one copy only, the web I is disabled by moving the roller 3 out of contact with the central roller 1 by means of toggle links 11, 12 bv which it is connected thereto. Additional rollers 13 carried bv the two guides 4<a> 5 serve to feed the document S to 'be copied during the disengagement of the roller 3, either the rollers 13 or the guides 4<a> 5 being resiliently mounted. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also the provision of crank arms carrying strippers which normally act to remove the document from the central roller but are turned to a second position to direct the document round the roller again when additional copies are required. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
