Corset substitutes. - A corset-like undergarment adapted to be laced at the back and partially divided at the front at f is formed from eight sections a united by French seams b extending from top to bottom of the garment. Shoulder straps d are formed in two parts united by buttons, and stocking suspenders comprise a button on a strap adapted to engage a loop on a companion strap, the button being provided with a loose covering of fabric g, Fig. 5.
