Piston valves. - Working valves for hydraulic machinery comprise perforated sleeves surrounding the valve spindle and positioned at the inlet and exhaust ports c, d, the spindle having grooves b<1> and a reduced portion b<2>. The perforations in the sleeves may be smaller at the inner than at the outer ends.
