Abstract

193,217. Michallat, F. J. Dec. 30, 1921. Coating bakers' and confectioners' goods.-A machine for decorating chocolates, confectionery &c. comprises a pan a in which the material is stirred by paddles c<2>, a bag connected with the pan a by a gate-valve; j, and a piping-device consisting of a funnel m fitting in the lower part of the bag, a tube m<2> screwed to the funnel m at m<1>, and a spreader m<3>, supported by bars m<4>, which deflects the material against the tube m<2>. The bag l is gripped by the operator and is of sufficient length to allow the piping device to be moved over a number of articles. The pan a is jacketed and is heated by a burner placed in a tube h, a plate h' being provided to protect the pan from excessive heat. A hood n, provided with a door n<1>, surmounts the pan a. Clutches e\ c<3> are provided on the shafts e, c. Several machines may be driven from one shaft through suitable bevel gearing.
