Abstract

Containers or receptacles; feeding-appliances. -In mixing-machines for flour, grain, or other granular or pulverulent substances and of the kind in which the materials to be mixed are passed either into a single casing or into a number of casings each provided with a base-trough fitted with discharge worms, the casings of the mixing-machine are constructed so that their interiors are of gradually increasing crosssectional area from the top to the bottom. The side walls 1X, or the end walls 1Y, or both, of the casing 1 may be set at an inclination. In a single-casing machine, Fig. 1, the materials are mixed by revolving blades and discharged by worms 3 fitted in the base-trough 2. In a multiple-casing machine, Fig 4, the materials from the various casings 1 are delivered by the worms 2 into a supplementary trough fitted with one or more mixing-worms.
