Clutches.-In slipping clutches for use with the feed-gears of lathes, planers, milling-machines, and other machine tools, the part 1 has a transverse slot containing two spring-pressed studs 8 with flattened conical heads engaging circular or other shaped slots 10 in the other part 3. If an obstruction is encountered, the studs are pressed radially inwards and allow lost motion.
